I got to hear the babys heartbeat today at my first OBGYN appointment. I am so happy. Before she tried, the doctor told me there is only a 60% chance of finding/hearing it at 12 weeks, but she found it. it was so awesome. It was 145 so I googled the old wives tale and apparently if it is above 140 its a girl LOL. My doctor was very nice and her husband is the piper for Rawlins cross, which i just heard live on Sunday at the lobster festival. Small world huh.
I go back in 4 weeks. The receptionist wouldnt change the apt to a couple of days before 4 weeks so Jeff would be in town- so that kind of sucks but I am sure he will get over it!

- I am 28 years old who has a great husband of 2 years in October. Jeff works in Africa or Albania one month on and one month home. I work for DFO as an environmental officer. I assist at a Womens Awareness Survival Program where we teach women self defense and awareness-every women should take it! I also particiapate in a karate class and take bagpipe lessons. I really suck at bagpipes but hopefully will get better with practice. Most importantly I am going to be a MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
